Has anyone else noticed that like... EVERY SINGLE REQUEST SITE is either
A) Brand new and fail
B) Old and on Hiatus
C) Shut down
or D) slow business
I think this applies to every single request site. and more and more of them are falling in the B and C section. Last year request site business was booming and everyone thought it'd be a great idea to open one, including myself. But now it's like all of those webmistresses are realizing that it is harder than it looks to keep a site working. You have to gather and send out requests, fire staff, and keep everything looking nice. But for some reason it's just gotten too hard for like... EVERY WEBMISTRESS EVER to do this.
I mean if you have to leave for a little bit, sure that's fine. But don't leave all your requests hanging. and if you close down your site, at least tell your staff first so they don't do a request, send it in, and then go to the site to realize it no longer exists. It's total bull crap. I used to work for 20+ sites. now I work at 4. I quit 6 of these sites, and the rest shut down.
That's so messed up. Why open a site if you're gonna close it right away?
and I love all these people that don't get requests so they shut down. It's called 'advertising'. i mean sure there are reasons to sometimes, but why open one if you're not gonna put your heart into it?
and if something drastic happens, like... like your niece destroys your computer.. well then it's understandable.
but if you just 'don't wanna deal with it anymore'? why even start in the first place.
